The Tick – A Birthday Painting From My Son

the_tick_spoon325pxI’ve been a fan of The Tick since the cartoon series first appeared on TV in 1994. Spooooon!!!

The cartoon only lasted three seasons, which was a travesty. Even worse was that the hilarious live action series that premiered in 2001 only lasted nine episodes.

So, a couple of weeks ago when my son presented me with an original painting of The Tick that he created, I was ecstatic! I can’t wait to get it back to Wolf’s Haven so I can hang it in my office where it can join the mirror paintings he did for me of Superman and Batman as Xmas gifts last year.

Today we were able to get together to take some photos of the two of us with the painting. Below are two of the many photos we shot.

The quote above The Tick, is  “Destiny’s powerful hand has made the bed of my future and it’s up to me to lie in it…” which is typical of the nonsensical things that would pour forth from the mouth of The Tick, lol.

I love this painting!

A big “Thank You” to my daughter for taking these excellent photos for us!
