I don’t think there’s any other time of year that has so many cartoons or movies dedicated to or centered around the holiday we call Christmas. And I guess it’s the influence of some of them that have been around since I was a kid that have ingrained them into being such a part of what I enjoy watching this time of year.
Here are my top 5 holiday cartoons and top 5 holiday movies that I love to watch during the Christmas season.
- Frosty The Snowman
- Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town (animated, stop-motion)
- Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (animated, stop-motion)
- How The Grinch Stole Christmas
And the number one cartoon
- A Charlie Brown Christmas
- Holiday Inn
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- A Christmas Carol (original b/w version)
- Miracle on 34th Street
And the number one movie
- It’s A Wonderful Life

My favorite Christmas movie has always been Miracle on 34th Street. I don’t really have a favorite cartoon though, I like them all 🙂
Yeah, it’s funny because “It’s A Wonderful Life” was never meant to be a holiday or xmas movie; it just kind of become a holiday favorite by the will of the viewers.
